Who we are

Prior 1876 is an Indigenous-owned business located on Treaty 6 Territory, founded in 2025. Our name reflects the time before the signing of Treaty 6, reminding us that we are the original people of this land. We honor our ancestors, both before and after the treaty, and carry their strength and resilience forward.

Our mission is to create clothing that tells this story while fostering awareness, respect, and reconciliation. By wearing Prior 1876, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people support a small Indigenous-owned business and contribute to economic empowerment and healing through reconciliation.
